Join us after the Wichita Oasis potluck to discuss Parable of the Sower by Octavia E. Butler. This book follows a young woman through a collapsing, climate-ravaged America, founding a new belief system called Earthseed that envisions humanity’s destiny among the stars.
Wichita Oasis is a non-religious community that meets weekly on Sunday mornings to connect, be inspired, and feel empowered.
Our Activities
Oasis is a very warm and welcoming place for everyone. Most everyone there is willing to have the difficult conversations. They are a fun-loving group and they are always up for making new friends. 10/10 would recommend.
This is a great group of people looking to make a difference in the world. I've made several friends here and honestly am proud to be part of the group.
The folks here are open minded and pleasant to visit with. Weekly discussions on topical issues. This is a community of people who welcome everyone.
