— Justice for All: The Future of Kansas Courts — 2418 E 9th St N, Wichita, KS 67214
Join us for Justice for All: The Future of Kansas Courts, an educational event to help Kansans understand what's at stake in the August 4 ballot amendment.
Whether you're just learning about the ballot amendment or want deeper context before voting this August, this event will offer clear, accessible information to help you make an informed decision. Attendees will learn more about:
- How the Kansas Supreme Court is structured and why voters chose a merit-based selection system nearly 70 years ago.
- How that system has protected fair, impartial courts for decades.
- How the proposed constitutional amendment would change judicial selection.
- Why politicizing the Court threatens judicial independence and the rule of law in Kansas.
Wichita Oasis is a non-religious community for people to come together to connect, be inspired, and feel empowered. We meet weekly on Sunday mornings and programming may include featured speakers, live local musicians, potlucks, service projects, game days, and more. The program starts at 11:00 AM, and people are encouraged to come half an hour earlier for coffee, snacks, and conversation.
Kid's Room. Two experienced and background-checked adults are ready to help make your child's experience at Wichita Oasis as fun and engaging as the main program.
Extension Room. For older kids and adults who don't require supervision but are not interested in the main program, the Extension Room offers a separate space to connect, play, create, and explore. Two background-checked adults will be there hanging out, so you'll never be alone. Feel free to bring a game, craft, book, or other activity to enjoy by yourself or with others.
