People of all ages are invited to learn fire safety with Bill Shaumeyer and participate in a mock fire drill & evacuation!
Speaker Bio: Bill started as a volunteer in the fire service in the fall of 2000. He has held many different roles as firefighter, paramedic, training officer, and assistant chief at various departments. He is currently the lead instructor for the Fire Science program at the Cass Career Center in Harrisonville Missouri. At CCC he trains high school juniors and seniors to be fire fighters and works closely with the EMT and other programs to train the next generation of emergency responders.
About Oasis. Oasis is a place for the non-religious to come together to celebrate the human experience. We are a secular community that meets weekly on Sunday mornings to enjoy fascinating talks, live music, and friendship. The program starts at 11:00 AM, and people are encouraged to come half an hour earlier for coffee, snacks, and conversation.
