Speaker Bio: A native of Topeka, Ks. Sheila was raised by her strong lesbian mother, who helped light the fire of helping others feel safe, loved and obtain equal rights. Earning her BSN degree from Washburn University in 1998 she set off to find the perfect graduate program. This search earned her a spot in the Class of 2002, Wichita State University, Family Nurse Practitioner program. Ebersole has worked in family medicine, orthopedic spine surgery and geriatric medicine. She has been a professor of nursing and enjoys teaching others. Sheila sees patients in clinic at M-Care Healthcare. M-care advocates for affirming, equitable, and safe healthcare for all. We believe that all people deserve equal rights and protections without regard to gender identity and sexual orientation. M-Care’s founder and owner Amanda Mogoi, NP, ensures we uphold this mission statement through our work at the clinic and in the community. Sheila was recently elected to the Wichita Pride Board where she serves as the Family and Youth Director. When she is not working in the clinic providing primary care, gender affirming care or serving in the community, you can find her spending time with her mom, 3 children and 2 fur babies.

About Oasis. Oasis is a place for the non-religious to come together to celebrate the human experience. We are a secular community that meets weekly on Sunday mornings to enjoy fascinating talks, live music, and friendship. The program starts at 11:00 AM, and people are encouraged to come half an hour earlier for coffee, snacks, and conversation. If it's your first time visiting, make sure to stop by our welcome table to say hello and learn more about Oasis.

Kids Room. Oasis is focused on families, and we provide our children with engaging and fun activities during Sunday gatherings overseen by a paid, background-checked staff. Parents can drop off their young ones with our team in the kids room, where they will meet new friends and enjoy fun activities together. Along with the kids' room at weekly Sunday gatherings, Oasis provides a network of support for parents and children to grow up in a framework of compassion, critical thinking and dogma-free education.

Covid Policy. Please note that masks are not required. We do have masks and hand sanitizer available for anyone who would like them. If you are ill, please stay home.
