Do you have trouble staying up late, but still want to ring in the New Year? Join us this Sunday as we welcome 2024 in real "grown-up" fashion: puzzles, board games, rock painting, bingo, and still in bed by 9:00 PM! Optionally dress to impress with a costume theme of what "adulting" means to you (I'm looking at you, spreadsheets), and get your photo taken at the photo booth. Pizza and sparkling grape juice will be provided. Optionally bring your own non-alcoholic beverages. Wichita Oasis (and the Kids Room) will be open an extra hour (11:00-1:00) for the occasion.
About Oasis. Oasis is a place for the non-religious to come together to celebrate the human experience. We are a secular community that meets weekly on Sunday mornings to enjoy fascinating talks, live music, and friendship. The program starts at 11:00 AM, and people are encouraged to come half an hour earlier for coffee, snacks, and conversation. If it's your first time visiting, make sure to stop by our welcome table to say hello and learn more about Oasis.
Kids Room. Oasis is focused on families, and we provide our children with engaging and fun activities during Sunday gatherings overseen by a paid, background-checked staff. Parents can drop off their young ones with our team in the kids room, where they will meet new friends and enjoy fun activities together. Along with the kids' room at weekly Sunday gatherings, Oasis provides a network of support for parents and children to grow up in a framework of compassion, critical thinking and dogma-free education.
Covid Policy. Please note that masks are not required. We do have masks and hand sanitizer available for anyone who would like them. If you are ill, please stay home.
