Liz grew up on the Space Coast of Florida, attended a women’s college in North Carolina, then moved to Kansas to attend Wichita State University for graduate school in 2010. Since then, she adopted a kitty named Mila, met her husband Adam, and has volunteered and worked in women’s advocacy. Liz enjoys podcasts, reading, writing, bullet journaling, knitting and other crafty endeavours.

Jess was born and raised in the Wichita area and works in process improvement. Aside from very early memories of their mom teaching Sunday school class, Jess largely grew up religious-curious. After tiptoeing into Taoism and Wicca in high school, they married way too young and jumped head-first into Catholicism. After two kids, a divorce, and some critical thinking, they found their way back out of religion and realized the thing that they were missing was community. That led them to Wichita Oasis, where the community supports them and challenges them to be a better human. Outside of Wichita Oasis, Jess enjoys spending time with family, playing D&D and video games, and finding stories that surprise them–but not in a scary way.

James is a recent resident of the Wichita area who discovered Wichita Oasis as a welcoming community to establish roots. He appreciates the relaxed social gatherings and actively participates in community events, including McKinny-Vento donations. In his leisure time, James finds pleasure in playing board games and video games, as well as indulging in retro music and movies.
