—  Potluck: Tornados —  2418 E 9th St N, Wichita, KS 67214

Bring your favorite dish and join us this Sunday for our monthly potluck. Gluten-free and vegetarian options are always appreciated!

Our theme this month is tornados. If you need some inspiration, here are some tornado-themed dish ideas from ChatGPT 3.5:

  1. Tornado Veggie Skewers: Skewer a variety of colorful vegetables like cherry tomatoes, bell peppers, and zucchini to represent the swirling vortex of a tornado. Serve with a gluten-free dipping sauce like hummus or ranch.
  2. Quinoa Salad: Create a quinoa salad with diced vegetables like cucumber, red onion, and avocado. Add in some black beans for protein and top it off with a tangy vinaigrette dressing. Quinoa is naturally gluten-free and nutritious.
  3. Tornado Fruit Platter: Arrange sliced fruits in a swirling pattern on a platter to resemble a tornado. Use fruits like strawberries, blueberries, mango, and kiwi for a colorful display. Serve with a yogurt dip for added flavor.
  4. Gluten-Free Veggie Pizza: Make a gluten-free crust using ingredients like almond flour or cauliflower. Top it with a variety of vegetables such as spinach, olives, and peppers. You can even arrange the toppings in a swirling pattern to mimic a tornado.
  5. Tornado Popcorn Mix: Mix together popped popcorn with gluten-free pretzels, nuts, and dried fruits like cranberries or raisins. Toss with a light seasoning or drizzle with melted chocolate for a sweet and salty snack that's perfect for munching on during the potluck.
  6. Stuffed Bell Peppers: Prepare gluten-free and vegetarian stuffed bell peppers filled with a mixture of quinoa, black beans, corn, diced tomatoes, and spices. Bake until tender and serve as a hearty and flavorful dish.
  7. Tornado-Inspired Dessert: Create a dessert inspired by tornadoes, like a gluten-free and vegetarian tornado-shaped cake decorated with swirls of frosting or a fruit platter arranged to resemble a tornado funnel.

There will be no structured program.
